Pregnancy Week 4
In The 4th week of Pregnancy, The mother have not gained weight at this point, since your baby is so tiny. The hormones in the mother are undergoing major changes, so mood swings are completely normal during this time and throughout your pregnancy. A pregnancy of 4 weeks is often noted as the beginning of the embryonic period. During your pregnancy at 4 weeks, your baby's organs will start developing. The early weeks of pregnancy are considered a critical time of development. Any exposure to harmful substances during pregnancy week 4 or later in the first trimester is most likely to cause damage to or harm your developing fetus.
Mother:
- Your body is figuring out
- A urine pregnancy test would probably be positive by now.
- You are probably beginning to feel tired, urinate more frequently, experience mood swings, and possibly have tender or swollen breasts.
- Be sure to avoid environmental hazards.
- By the end of 4 weeks pregnant you would normally expect your period to arrive. If it does not there is a good chance you might be pregnant.

This generally occurs at the site where your egg is released from the follicle. The corpus luteum is believed to produce progesterone during the early weeks of pregnancy.

- Your baby at 4 weeks pregnant is still incredibly miniscule, about .014 to .04 inches long.
- Your baby will be implanting furiously during pregnancy week 4 into the uterine lining and the amniotic cavity.
- The amniotic cavity will be filled with amniotic fluid.
- The early version of the placenta is forming .
- Different germ layers are developing and the vascular networks that contain maternal blood are being established.
